details

a few of my previous wheels

I grew up riding on farm dirt roads and in the African bush
I know how to make a bike sing
I am turning 63, this bopper gave me unforgettable joy
I was surprised with it’s handling ….cornering is a dream, probably due to a boppers low centre of gravity

Trust I can pass her on to someone who connects and relates as a biker…Bon Dias

cheers

original parts

cold start

Surprisingly one of the most comfortable seats I have ridden on, originally supported by two large side springs , due to bottoming out, a shorter center one was added.
Each spring has two purpose made helical angled brass washers to accommodate the factory made not flush spring ends
Made from recycled Antique Oak window sills…stainless screw end feature

She’s an old girl - doesn’t enjoy the cold mornings….SO
I ran a 20mm flexi hose through the filter directly into intake box, turn the idle screw one and half turns up, a squirt of cold start.- bingo..replace cap.
As she warms I adjust down slowly, minor adjustments while I ride- one connects with the motorcycle - no probs starting again once warm.
Ultrasonic cleaning neither new carb kits have been utilised

Following the interest shown, I include an additional video below of the first day I started the motor.
